From rethinking to leading change with national and global reach
Map the System is a global competition that asks students and educators to rethink social and environmental issues through systems thinking going beyond disciplines and questioning deeply held assumptions. It aims to bridge the gap between student-as-learner and student-as-changemaker.

Join Us in a Partnered Initiative!
Mount Royal University’s Institute for Community Prosperity (ICP) is proud to host Map the System Canada, part of the global Map the System initiative led by the University of Oxford. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Map the System Canada, and we are seeking a partner who can offer not only anchor sponsorship but also a forward-thinking collaboration that will ensure the continued growth and impact of ICP’s signature program.
Through this partnership, we aim to nurture the next generation of systems thinkers and changemakers. Students will gain enhanced opportunities to strengthen their research skills and explore complex social challenges through a systems-thinking lens. At the same time, our partner’s employees will benefit from access to Map the System learning opportunities and the chance to engage in cross-pollination of ideas with emerging talent.
